What Taking These Actions Mean

It's one thing to say we're compliant with COVID-19 protocols, but it's another to actually explain what this means. In no way is what's listed here an exhaustive explanation of what we do and why, but it will give you excellent insight, and maybe a little more peace of mind, that catering with us is as safe as it is delicious.

Social Distancing

By now, everyone knows the drill and why social distancing is considered such a critical part of protecting against the spread of Covid-19. In any venue you choose, we will be following guidelines as directed by the governor.

Mask Wearing

It's difficult to talk about social distancing without mask wearing, so here goes. ALL Lighthouse Catering employees wear masks at all times - during food prep, delivery, service & guest contact. Breathe easy. It's as simple as that.

Employee Temp Checks

Like mask wearing, every employee has their temperature checked at the beginning of each shift. If their temp is elevated, they are not permitted to work. Temp checks continue throughout their shifts and the same protocols apply.

Food Service

A product of both social distancing & mask wearing, the way we serve food has been slightly altered, but in no way has quality of service been affected. The biggest change happens with buffet-style dinners. Yes, we still do them, and yes, people still come to the food tables to get their meals, but it's only one table of guests at a time and our staff serves each guest their food.

Enhanced Sanitizing

Although critically important, for us, increased sanitizing efforts are more of the same, daily routine for us. Our employees are ServSafe certified, which means not only do they know how to handle food in all its stages of storage, prep and serving, but also the environment around it, including the surfaces and people it might come in contact with. In short, we're constantly santizing every surface we, or you, come in contact with.
